conversion of one's soul before death

"I caught him, with an unseen hook and an invisible line which is long enough to let him wander to the ends of the world, and still to bring him back with a twitch upon the thread."

the non-sacrifice of Protestants

I have always observed that (a majority of) Protestants have a mentality to "do as they please". They obtain this mentality of course, from the same source that teaches them that since Jesus died for our salvation, no work is necessary on their part. This source I speak of, is their false heretical religion.

They profess that nothing needs to be done (to get to Heaven) as long as one believes in Christ. All sins are easily forgiven, and Christ already took on this burden. They never believe in actually working for one's salvation.

This same sort of mentality seeps into their daily life via the non-observance in trying to stray away from the seven deadly sins (which ultimately befalls all of mankind). Hence, they fall easily into one (or more) of the seven deadly sins.
